Special events connect people through shared interests or mission.
Examples of activities that require a Special Event Permit include festivals, fun run, walk, bike race, cultural event, dance, etc.
Thank you for your interest in holding a special event in Hutchinson. These events play an important role in building community, engaging residents, creating vibrancy and providing opportunities to share our community with visitors. We want to help event organizers plan a safe and successful event.
Special Event Fees Effective 1/1/2018
$25 Application Fee - payment required with application.
$25 Late Fee (If application is submitted fewer than 60 calendar days prior to event)
$50 Permit Fee - One Day Event
$100 Permit Fee - 2-3 Day Event
$300 Permit Fee - 4 Or More Days
$25 Barricades/Cones (for street closing only)
$55 Public Safety Personnel Costs (per officer/per hour)
The City Manager has the discretion to waive any or all fees.
Separate licenses have their own application fees.
