These services include emergency preparedness, education, prevention and response. Be at least 18 years of age;
Be a United States citizen and able to prove legal eligibility to work with the United States
Have a valid driver's license and good driving record;
Have no felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude;
Have no illegal drug use within the last 12 months;
Meet the medical requirements set forth in NFPA 1582 (National Fire Protection Association Standard on Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program for Fire Departments)
Be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalency certificate;
Have a current certification as an EMT-B by the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services;
Must have passed FireTEAM written exam with a score of 70 or above in all sections (taken within 24 months with National Testing Network or Hutchinson Community College);
Must have a valid CPAT (Candidate Physical Abilities Test) taken within the last 12 months.
