Hutchinson/Reno County is served locally by the Hutchinson Municipal Airport located just three miles from downtown. The Hutchinson Airport is a Class IV airport with three runways capable of handling corporate aircraft. Charter service is available. 620-694-2692 Law
The Law Department has four main functions: (1) the City Attorney provides legal advice to the City Council, department heads, boards and commissions, employees and the public in all aspects of City business; (2) oversees the operation of the Municipal Court which includes prosecuting violations of City Code; (3) reviews and processes all Risk Management matters; and (4) handles all workers compensation claims for City employees.620-694-2641 Municipal Court
The Hutchinson Municipal Court oversees cases involving violations of City Ordinances which include traffic, misdemeanor criminal cases, and code violations. The Judge, under the Code of Criminal Procedure, the Code of Municipal Courts, the Kansas Rules of Evidence and the City Code of Hutchinson conducts all trials. The Hutchinson Parks and Facility Services Department is as diverse as the community it serves.
