City Manager
The City Manager reports directly to the City Council and is responsible for implementing the policy direction of the City Council.
Hutchinson Regional Airport
The Hutchinson Airport is Class IV FAA Airport with 3 runways capable of handling corporate aircraft. Charter service is available. Hutchinson strives to provide the environment and physical assets necessary to meet and maintain world-class aviation support services, specifically designed to meet your needs.
Engineering
The Engineering department is responsible for planning, designing, administering, inspecting and overseeing the construction of bridges, streets, traffic signals, sewers, water mains, and drainage projects. Activities include project pre-planning and initiation, design review, right-of-way and utility coordination, estimating, contract administration, project financing, and engineering advice for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and city departments. Engineering also supports the Planning Commission on development issues, monitors traffic, and responds to the general public on engineering questions.

Fire Department
The Fire Department works to save lives and protect property through prevention, preparedness, education and response.

Parks & Facilities
The Park Maintenance construction crews do all the remodeling, additions, and building maintenance for all City buildings including the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Community Development
The Planning & Development Department works with citizens and community leaders to identify and plan for the preferred future of Hutchinson; and works to help achieve that future. The Planning & Development Department’s role for implementation is largely accomplished through the coordination of a variety of land planning functions including zoning and subdivision. The Planning & Development Department supports the Planning Commission.
Police Department
The Hutchinson Police Department's mission is to foster trusting relationships while utilizing advanced law enforcement strategies to build a safer community.
Public Works Department
Welcome to the Hutchinson Public Works Department. We are responsible for constructing, operating, and maintaining vital infrastructure that contributes to the health, safety, economic development, image, and quality of life of the Hutchinson Community. We have 91 employees that work every day and when called upon overnight to protect and serve those who work, live, and play in Hutchinson.

The Strategic Growth Department strives to create a Hutchinson where everyone belongs and thrives. This department oversees the City's communications, the Human Relations Office, and Housing Development.
