Reserve a Dumpster
This program is free of charge and designed to help neighborhoods remove unwanted items from their yards.
In order to reserve a dumpster, residents should apply in person at City Hall, 125 East Avenue B at the Utility Billing department (west door) on Monday mornings at 8:00am to reserve a dumpster (8 cubic yards) for neighborhood clean up. The first three qualified applicants in line at 8:00am may apply for a dumpster to be delivered on Friday 11 days after the reservation is made.
If all 3 dumpsters have not been reserved at 8:00am, reservations may be taken by phone by calling 620-694-2621.
The resident must then come to the Utility Billing office and sign a letter of agreement by Wednesday before the dumpster is delivered on Friday. The letter of agreement must be signed before the dumpster will be delivered.

Procedures
- Resident wishing to reserve an 8 Cubic Yard dumpster should apply in person at City Hall, 125 E. Ave. B (west door) on Monday mornings to make the reservation.
- The first three qualified applicants in line at 8:00 AM may apply for a dumpster to be delivered on Friday 11 days after the reservation is made.If all 3 dumpsters have not been reserved at 8:00 AM, reservations may be taken by phone by calling 620-694-2621.
- The resident must then come to the Utility Billing office and sign a letter of agreement by Wednesday before the dumpster is delivered on Friday.
- A copy of this letter agreement will be forwarded to the dumpster contractor for scheduling.
Rules
- No more than 3 dumpsters are available for any given weekend.
- Reservations will not be accepted more than two weekends in advance.
- Except in cases of extraordinary need, individual citizens or activities may not reserve a dumpster more frequently than every three months.
- Reservations will not be accepted from commercial interests.
- The dumpster will not be placed in a hazardous location, or blocking an alley or driveway.
- No debris, trash, tree limbs, etc. outside of the dumpster will be removed.
- The dumpster must be loaded so as to permit safe transportation to the landfill.
- Do not load material higher than the top of the dumpster.
- No hazardous or toxic materials shall be placed in dumpster including but not limited to: vehicle batteries, asbestos material, motor oil, appliances, paint, tires, liquid wastes and/or anything requiring special handling at the landfill.
- No white goods (stoves, washers, hot water heaters, etc.) shall be placed in dumpster.
